I remember back in the sixties on Dufferin street when the engine on my 61 chevy impala broke down and needed to be rebuilt I took Benito with me to the garage.   Benito made sure the repairs were done proper and honest and got my car back ln good order.  I also remember seeing him many times at the Stouffville flea market at were he sold his goods.  Good memories never fade.

I have many fond memories of whom I called uncle Benny. I was 10 years old when he came from Italy to live at my parents house in 1968.  We spent lot of time together. He was a big brother to me. He would join me and my friends to play soccer. We also hung out like buddies . I also enrolled him into night school and I would join him so he could learn English. I will always remember his sense of humor and his big smile.  You will be missed uncle Benny. love Johnny.

Rest in Peace Uncle Ben. We will miss you very much. We love you.

We are Benny and Maria’s neighbours. Although we have not seen Benny for a while, and haven’t had the chance to develop a close connection, Benny’s warmth and kindness radiate from across the road. He waves to us when he worked in his garage when he was able, and in his later days by his door. A simple gesture of waving hello, is so powerful and will be deeply missed.

My most sincere condolences to the family. May God bless you all in your time of mourning.
