SERVAIS, Camilien. It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Camilien (Cam) Servais, in Toronto, on May 6, 2026, at the age of 92. Cam, one of eight children, was born in Rimouski, Quebec, and is survived by his wife Doris (Moulson), with whom he shared 66 years wonderful years, his sister Murielle (Devlin) and brother John.
Cam’s passion was sailing. He belonged to the Ashbridges Bay Yacht Club in Toronto for many years. Upon retiring from the Toronto Star he took his beloved sail boat “Foxfire II” to the Caribbean where he sailed with Doris for a number of years. During that time he crewed on a yacht sailing from Venezuela to the Galápagos and French Polynesia, ending in Tahiti.
The family wishes to thank Michael Garron Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital and the Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care for their ministration and support. Special thanks to the extraordinary staff of Delmanor Northtown Retirement Residence for their compassion and care. Donations may be made to any of the hospitals.
Private ceremonies will be held at a later date.
