Passed away at Michael Garron Hospital on January 18, 2022, in her 97th year. Sister of the late William (Bill) Bunker of Peterborough. Sadly missed by sister-in-law Joan Bunker, niece Brenda Bunker, and nephew Kevin Bunker (Bonnie) of Norwood. Also grieving her loss, stepbrother Kenneth McLaren (Betty) of Ingleside, Ontario.
Aileen had a long career in the financial industry, retiring from AGF Management Limited at the age of 73. Aileen was also an avid curler. When she was no longer able to be on the ice, Aileen returned regularly to her club to socialize with the Business Girls group. She enjoyed greatly the company of other people, whether at work or in leisure activities!
Aileen travelled the world, but she was equally enthusiastic about events and attractions in Toronto. She was an active member of Hope United Church, volunteering numerous hours in service to the Church.
Special thanks to the staff at St. Clair O’Connor Community for the attention and care provided Aileen over many years. Thanks also to the staff at Atrium at Kew Beach and the doctors, nurses, and support staff at Michael Garron Hospital for their efforts during Aileen’s recent illness.
A celebration of Aileen’s life will be held at a later date. As an expression of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Hope United Church would be appreciated.
