He maintained a love for sports, automobiles and motorcycles throughout his life, a passion he learnt from his father and passed on to his children.
In the late 1950's he moved to London, England to join his eldest brother Earl where he worked at Rootes Motors, continued to play cricket, studied Mechanical Engineering at Paddington Technical Institute, and got married in 1961.
