Born in Trinidad, West Indies, to Claudius and Millicent Ramprashad. Claudius will be dearly missed by his beloved wife Sarah Elizabeth (Betty); his children Susan, Olin and Paul; his immediate family; his extended family; and friends.
Claudius graduated from the University of West Indies at Mona, Jamaica in 1963. He did research in Dominica, practiced medicine in Trinidad and immigrated to Canada in 1967 where he specialized in Radiology. He practiced for 30 years at the Brantford General Hospital in Brantford, Ontario.
Claudius was brilliant and curious with a wonderful sense of humour. Outside of his career he was a collector of art, a fanatical reader (particularly Canadian fiction), and avid fan of movies, music and theatre.
Claudius will be laid to rest at the Toronto Necropolis in a private ceremony. Donations in his memory may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
