It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Concetta Runco. She died peacefully on Monday, January 30, 2012 at Rouge Valley Centenary Hospital. Born in Campora San Giovanni in the province of Cosenza, Italy on December 8, 1932, to Pasquale and Rosa Turco. Leaving behind her husband Peter Runco. Dear sister of Rocco Turco, Maria Calendino and the late Antonio Turco and Vincenza Marelli. Loving mother of Angelo Runco and his wife Andrea. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Stefanie, Alex and Melissa. For all of us who knew Concetta, no celebration will be the same without her, as she was always the life of the party. She was a kind, generous and devoted woman. Her memory will live in the hearts of all who knew her. The family will receive visitation at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough, on Thursday, February 2, 2012 from 3:00--5:00 and 7:00--9:00 p.m. The funeral will be held at St. Maria Goretti Catholic Church, 717 Kennedy Rd., Scarborough on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Burial to follow at Highland Memory Gardens, 33 Memory Gardens Lane, North York.
