Died peacefully at Loretto Infirmary, Toronto, on April 15, 2014 in her 104th year and her 76th year as a member of the Institute of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Loretto Sisters). Pre-deceased by her parents Mary Anne Butler and Hugh Ellard, by her brothers Ferguson (Helen) Ellard, Rev. Hugh Ellard, John, Harry, Vincent, Rev. Basil Ellard, her sisters Marie, Cornelia (s.c.i.c.), Maureen and Margaret Ellard. Survived by her niece Rosemary Greenan and family, and numerous cousins and their families. Sr. Consolata taught in several schools in Toronto, Fort Erie, Niagara Falls, Gore, Bolton. Sister was Librarian and also taught the deaf for several years. In her retirement she was sacristan at Loretto College and both Loretto Abbey and the Infirmary. Friends may call at the Loretto Abbey Infirmary, 101 Mason Blvd. on April 21st, 2014 from 2:00-3:00 p.m. and 7:30- 9 p.m. Prayers will be at 7.30 pm on the same day. Mass of Christian Burial at Loretto Abbey Chapel, on April 22nd 2014 at 11 am, followed by Interment at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery.
