Dan Frank McKay, 73, passed away on March 12, 2025, in Toronto, with his husband, Robert Gordon Coates by his side. Danny, as Bob called him, was a devoted and loving partner for 45 years and a great friend to many people who will miss him deeply. Predeceased by parents Bryan and Vera McKay and brother Kim, he is survived by brothers Ross (Wendy) McKay and Lloyd McKay, niece Crystal (Kevin) Maclean, nephew Ross Jr. (Kelly) McKay and their families.
A memorial service will be held at The Cathedral Church of St. James, 106 King Street, East, Toronto on Saturday, April 26, 2025 at 2 p.m., followed by a reception. All who know and love Danny are welcome to attend. In lieu of flowers, donations to Casey House Hospice would be appreciated.
