Dana was a skilled craftsman with a passion for DIY projects. He had several on the go and always planning for more. He devoted himself to building his summer home from the ground up. A place to watch his family grow, and a haven to spend his retirement with his beloved wife. The family cottage was his favorite place to unwind and watch the stars with his family by his side.
Dana was a family man who loved deeply. He met his wife at 15 years old, married at 22, and they have been inseparable ever since. Survived by his wife Michelle Hammond, son Ryan Hammond, daughter-in-law Jessy Hammond, daughter Beth Hammond, son-in-law Brendan Lalonde, and grandchildren Matreya, Mattex, Madison, and Linkin.
Predeceased by his son Todd Hammond who passed away almost 5 years ago. We know Dana was guided with love and open arms, and he is soaring with Todd by his side.
Dana was known within the community and loved by many. He enjoyed taking his beloved dog, Alfie for daily walks around the neighborhood. His morning greetings, infectious smile, and pearly blues will truly be missed.
Please join us in celebrating Dana's life; the visitation is being held at the Giffen-Mack funeral home on Wednesday, June 28th from 1pm to 3pm and the memorial will follow after the visitation. Donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
