Desmond was born on July 1st 1941 in Steer Town, Jamaica. He lived there for the first 36 years of his life before moving to Canada in 1977.
Desmond shared many interests. One of his biggest passions was music, collecting hundreds of records that he played on his turntable for decades. He also loved dressing with style which led to another vast collection - his bow ties. Desmond spent many afternoons and nights watching baseball and basketball, especially the Blue Jays and Raptors. Desmond was blessed with a resilient spirit, overcoming many challenges in his later years.
Desmond was a father, grandfather and uncle to many. He is survived by his 11 children: Ainsley, Moulton, Diana, Carl, Kurt, Keshoan, Marvin, Dionne, Greg, Jamar and Kadeem. He was loved and will be missed.
