Dolores Maria Scutella

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Dolores Maria Scutella, who left us far too soon on June 13, 2025, in her hometown of Toronto, Ontario. Born on November 24, 1961, Dolores lived a life defined by compassion, devotion, and love.

A woman of boundless generosity and an endlessly giving heart, Dolores was the quiet force who held many lives together. She was selfless to her core—always putting others before herself—and found true joy in caring for those around her. Whether you knew her as a daughter, mother, nonna, sister, or friend, Dolores had a way of making everyone feel safe, loved, and full—especially after one of her legendary home-cooked meals.

Her infamous tiramisu and lemon meringue pies were more than desserts; She also made an amazing lasagna and eggplant parm, they were acts of love—made with care, shared with laughter, and never to be forgotten.

Dolores will be deeply missed by her beloved mother, Erma (predeceased by her father Nicola, 2023); her loving children Sergio (Angela), Laura (Joshua), Joseph (Chanelle), and Myles; and her adored grandchildren Vitoria, Kayla, Julian, Niko, and Sonny, who will forever remember her warmth and gentle strength.

She was a cherished sister to Donato (Marie) and the late Sergio (Mara), and a treasured zia to Nicholas and Brandon.

She loved greeting cards. She requested everyone write her a card and place it in her casket so she's able to take them with her.

Dolores’s legacy is one of love—quiet, steady, and unconditional. Her absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled, but her spirit lives on in the countless lives she touched.

A celebration of her life will be held in the coming days, with details to follow.

Visitation will be held on Monday June 16, 2025 from 4-8pm at the Jerrett Funeral Home – St. Clair Chapel, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W .

Funeral Mass will take place on Tuesday June 17, 2025 at 11am at St. Clare Church, 1118 St. Clair Ave. W.

**Please note that there will be no public viewing on the morning of the mass, allowing the family private time prior to the mass**
