Domenico was predeceased by his wife of 60 years, Lillian Battista. Together they nurtured a loving family. He was the father of Felice (Zuraida) Mario (Joanne), Donna (Ron), Rita (Steve). Domenico was also a proud Nonno to Janice, Jennifer, Domenic, Cassandra, Luke, Mark, Laura, Lisa and Paige. Bisnonno of Ayane, Avian, Amio, Ariston, and Haisley . He was the beloved brother of the late Antonio, Peppino and Rita. He will be greatly missed by all his nieces and nephews in both Canada and Italy.
Domenico was born in Civitanova del Sannio, Isernia, Italy and immigrated to Canada. He was highly skilled with his hands and was considered the Mr. Fix-it around the house and to his friends and neighbours. With a wine in hand and cheeky gleam in his eye, Domenico was a wanderer, silent observer, and a man of few words. He was an avid gardener, machinist and carpenter who took great pride in his giardino. He was the ‘go to’ person on Beatrice if the neighbours needed anything.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the Personal Support Workers at Villa Colombo and medical professionals who aided Domenico in the later years of his life.
