Donna Lynne Kaufmann passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. Born in Toronto on July 10, 1940, Donna was the beloved daughter of the late Hugh and Elizabeth Draffin. Donna is remembered by her son Graham as the best mom a son could have, a doting Nana to Noah, a wonderful mother-in-law to Andrea, a loving sister to Bet and a faithful member of the Fitzimmons clan. Donna was a devoted friend, fondly remembered by Anne Marie Dittgen and the ladies of the "German Club", as well as Jean Mitchell and her "family" from North York General Hospital. Donna was a proud operating room nurse for 40 years and her nursing life took her to the Pacific Coast, Bermuda and Saudi Arabia.
> She loved to laugh and travel, particularly with family and friends which were always the central part of her life.
> If a successful life is defined by leaving our world and the people in it a bit better because of how you lived, then Donna was a great success!
A celebration of Donna's life will take place at the Trull Funeral Home & Cremation Centre (2704 Yonge Street – 416-488-1101) on Saturday February 23rd at 11 am.
Donations to the Princess Margaret Hospital Foundation would be greatly appreciated.
