Born on Feb 26th, 1937 in Timmins, Ontario, to Clementina nee (D'Alessandro) and Domenico Di Marco (both from Ofena, Abruzzi, Italy) whom he respected, cared for and loved dearly. Dorelio grew up in Timmins and later moved to Toronto, where he pursued his BA at the University of Toronto. In 1959, he joined the Toronto District School Board as a primary grade teacher. He taught at Wilkinson Junior Public School on Donlands Ave. in Toronto, retiring from the Board in 1993 after 34 years of faithful service. In retirement, he taught English as a second language to new immigrants to Canada. Dorelio was a devoted member of Calvary church in Toronto for more than forty years and was characterized by his strong faith. Music, too, was a passion for him: he loved to play the violin, and he sang faithfully in the Church choir.
Dorelio will be missed by his dear friends, Fred Carpenter, and Sam (Becky) Paonessa and their children, Ellen, Alessandra and Saverio. He leaves behind his ex-wife, Maria Willemse Di Marco, sons John (wife Sandra) and Alex (wife Christina), grandsons Robert, Joel and Matthew, his brother Dan (wife Lee) and nephew Darren (wife Velda).
