It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of a beloved husband, father and Papa.
Doug was the lifetime love of his wife Sandy Hatcher-Maher, the best father to his daughters Jessica McDonald (Derek) and Kristin Cooke (Jeff), and an amazing Papa to his three beautiful grandchildren Colin, Olivia and Audrey. Doug also leaves behind his brother Richard (Carol), his sister Nancy (Paul), his brother Terry, as well as many nieces and nephews. Doug was pre-deceased by his parents, his in laws and his sister, Jane.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or Sick Children's Hospital.
"Your wings were ready but our hearts were not. Rest in peace my lobster. Gone too young but never will you be forgotten."
A memorial visitation in honour of Doug will take place at Trull Funeral Home Danforth Chapel, 1111 Danforth Avenue (east of Donlands) on Saturday July 23, 2016
from 10:00 am- 12:00 pm.
Cremation has taken place.
