Douglas Thomas Tyrrell

It is with sadness that the family of Douglas (Dougie) Thomas Tyrrell announce his passing on November 17, 2025 at Toronto General Hospital, born in Brampton ON September 8, 1967. While our shared journeys were often challenging, his absence leaves a great sense of loss. Predeceased by parents Patrick and Marion. Father of Ariel Scace (Lola), Alex Tyrrell (Tyler), Kristen Williams (stepdaughter). Brother to Patricia, Cindy and Kimberley. Special friend to Isabel, Jeff and Amutha. Dougie struggled like all of us but stayed very sweet and kind. He relished creating short videos about what was happening in the city. He loved music, he would spend hours researching the history of local churches.

A visitation will be held at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home and Chapel, located at 467 Sherbourne Street Toronto M4X 1K5 on Friday December 5th, from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. followed by a Memorial Service in the funeral home chapel.

Douglas spent many months in the care of Casey House and felt that his wonderful team was in fact his "family". For that we are very grateful and thankful. In lieu of flowers we encourage you to make a donation in memory of Dougie to Casey House.
