Wanted to include another picture of Betty in the Kayak.  Summer of 2019

Saddened to have found out too late that Betty has passed on. We worked together 18 years ago and remained in contact. Over the years and after my own mother's passing I got to know her daughter's Vicky and Veronica, Granddaughter Alicia and Great Granddaughter Malaya, Sister Beverley, 2 brothers in Kingston and a niece in Halifax  and her St. David's Village family including Wayne and Dina.  She kept my mind off my own worries playing endless games of Yahtzee, And how she loved those Bingo Halls! We spent a lot of time just travelling the Ontario roadways as she loved being a passenger and always mentioned how she loved driving in the truck with her Mom and Dad when she was a young lady. Giant Tiger and Tim Horton's was a ritual and Tiger Tail ice cream at St. Clair Dairy on Danforth was a must in the summertime.  The most fun was when she actually got into an inflatable kayak with me and laughed her head off the whole way while I paddled across Hamilton Harbour in disbelief that she was actually doing this with me. And then there was the time she almost set her Sister Beverley's T-shirt on fire before I doused her with a can of 7-up in the backseat of my car. Sooo many fun memories. To the girls ....my heartbreaks for you all as I know how much you loved her and you can be certain that she loved and worried about you all , all the time. Also want to mention that her daughter Vicky's passing in close proximity was an even bigger shock but it makes sense to me that she went quickly to join her mom in whatever realm or form they are in now. I don't know what the lesson is in all of this that both were taken but I do believe that they will continue guiding, protecting and watching over their loved ones for the rest of eternity.
Sending many hugs to the family and I hope you look back and only remember the happy times you shared. She was quite a lady.
As for me I am still in disbelief that I'll never see her again.  I'll miss them both.  Rest in Peace ♥️✝️Caroline 

Betty was a member of Harmony Hall Centre for Seniors for many years.  She will be greatly missed.
