The family of Joy Elizabeth Doyle is saddened to announce her passing. Joy left peacefully in her sleep on the afternoon of December 30, 2016 in the Palliative Care Unit at the Toronto Rehabilitation Institute in Toronto, Canada, after a long battle with kidney disease and other health issues. She was 73 years old. Along with her mother and father and two younger brothers, Joy immigrated to Canada from Dublin, Ireland in 1953. The family settled in Toronto, where Joy enjoyed a long career in the medical field. Family and friends will always remember Joy for her love of laughter and wry sense of humor. To Edward Doyle, her father, she was his Irish Princess. Joy is survived by brothers Paul Doyle, Michael Doyle, Ted Doyle, sister Laura Doyle Hendison, Toronto based cousin Cecilia Brownsell and many other cousins and family members located in Canada, the U.S. and Ireland.
