It is with heavy hearts, Engelbert Anton Bernhard (Uncle Tony) passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026. Born in Bavaria, Germany on May 11, 1937. He came to Canada in 1962 for a short vacation but ended up making Canada his home. He met (Aunt) Eva and they were married on November 6, 1971.
Beloved husband of the late Eva (Gyulay) and brother-in-law to many who have passed on. Loved brother of Robert (Maria) and niece Rosemarie (Heinz) and his sister Susi, and his late sisters Berta and Traudl, all of Germany. Leaves behind his sister-in-law Gertrud Gyulay and many nieces and nephews in Canada and the United States and Germany.
Tony lived his life the way he wished and was happy. He fought fiercely to keep on living.
To honour his wishes, there will be no funeral service.
