Mr. Ernest Joseph Hallihan

MAY 15, 1948 - MAY 16, 2015

It is with heavy hearts that we announce his peaceful passing at Bridgepoint Health on Saturday, May, 16 2015, at the age of 67 years. Ernie, beloved brother to Jo Ryan and loving uncle of Kimberly and Karen Backle and his adopted family, Walter and Geraldine Hollick, Cristal and Paul Zak and their children Lana and Liam, Annette and Rob Buchanan and their son Jaidin, Dennis Hollick and his son Michael, Walter and Sanda Brown and Syd Crieighton.

A very special thank you to Rick Skimmings who sat at Ernie's side everyday.

Mr. Ernie Hallihan was very well known in the gay and lesbian leather community. Over the years he was the recipient of several awards. Some of his achievements include National Leather Association - Toronto Chapter, March 26, 1995., National Leather Association - Toronto Chapter, The Order Of the Raising Welt, 1997, Special Recognition of Spear Head Toronto 25 Anniversary, The Tool Box 1995, the title MR. TOOL BOX 1996, Pink Triangle Toronto Awards - Outstanding Bar Employee at WOODY'S (Manager/Bartender) and the Spear Head 20 Year Service Award - March 15, 2014.

His love of Christmas, being a leather man, cooking and especially sharing his life with family and friends at Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral Service to follow in the Coach House Chapel at 1 p.m.
