Mrs. Brancaccio was one of my German teachers, while I was a student at Lawrence Park Collegiate Institute.  I was one of her students in her final year of teaching.  After four years of German there, I was fluent in the language.  I am still fluent in German!

Sorry to hear of her death.  She was my home teacher in Grade 9 at LPCI.  We affectionally called her "The Shape"...behind her back of course.

Dear Salvatore,
I just today heard that Marion has passed on and want to express my deep sympathy to you, her faithful partner of 49 years, at her side every step of the way especailly these last few years as her health was failing.  
I remember Marion first as my favourite teacher at LPCI and the reason I myself became a highschool teacher of French and German.  The connection of my family with Marion resulted in our being invited to your wedding.  What a happy day that was as we celebrated Marion's having found her soulmate in you.  I have great memories of that occasion and the photos on this website brought them all back to me.  Staying in touch with you both over the years has meant a lot to me and my parents.  
You are in our thoughts and prayers, Salvatore, as you face the future without Marion.  It will be hard for you but I pray that the support of your friends will give you strength.  God bless you.

Dear Salvatore,

On behalf of all our family, I wish to express our heart-felt condolences on the death of your dearly-departed wife and our friend Marion.

Columbus centre was the venue that began our 27 year freindship with you and Marion. You have both been an inspiration of wisdom, intelligence and genuine kindness, to me and my family and the memories that have been created will be cherished forever.

We will remember Marion for the gracious, well-mannered and sharp-minded lady that she was. Discipline and morals ranked high on Marion's list of attributes, along with kindness and thoughtfulness.  No matter what the occasion, Marion would always follow up with the most appreciative and well-written thankyou note.  It was always so gratifying to have received them.

Salvatore, you have been the light of Marion's life as she has been yours and your unconditional love has given her great comfort in knowing that you were always by her side.

I trust that Marion's soul will watch over you now, as you so lovingly watched over her.

We are truly sorry for your loss and for having to say our final goodbyes to our dear friend Marion.  May her soul find eternal happiness and peace in God's heavenly garden.

My brothers and I were students of Mrs. Brancaccio at LPCI in the late 1960s and were neighbours on Chudleigh Ave. She was in her teaching prime, a committed,  caring, old-school, no-nonsense teacher.
