With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Ferruccio Merante on January 5, 2024 at the age of 98. Born in Pentone, Catanzaro, Calabria, Italy to Michele and Pasqualina. Ferruccio leaves behind his beloved wife of 57 years, Angela. Cherished father to Michele, Antonio, Claudio (Christine) and Carlo. Beloved Nonno to Shelby and Stella. Ferruccio is survived by brother Duino. Ferruccio will be forever missed by his many relatives and friends. Visitation will be held on Thursday January 11, 2024 from 4-8 pm at the Jerrett Funeral Home- St. Clair Chapel (1141 St. Clair Ave., east of Dufferin St.). A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday from St. Clare Church (1277 St. Clair Ave. W. Toronto) at 10 am. On the morning of the mass, please go directly to the church, to allow the family some quiet time prior to the mass. Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery (1450 St. Clair Ave. W., Toronto.).
