Francis Xavier Johnson of the Society of Jesus died praying the Lord’s Prayer with a fellow Jesuit on May 3, 2020 at René Goupil House in Pickering, ON. Born in Toronto, ON he was the son of James Johnson and Agnes Cussir. He was 93 years old and in his 68th year as a Jesuit. He was ordained a priest in 1965. As priest, he spent his life as a teacher, hospital chaplain and especially as a priest helping out in parishes in Toronto, Montreal, St. John’s, Port Arthur, Willowdale, California, Northern Ontario and various places in British Columbia. He had clarity of thought and conviction of principle which he often expressed in articles and letters. After a fall in 2013 he moved to René Goupil House
