Frances Doreen (Bevan) Timewell

Doreen Timewell, 88 of Scarborough, Ontario, passed away on February 14, 2023, at home peacefully after a long battle with a lung condition. She was born in East York, Ontario, to Albert and Rita (Graham) Bevan on March 3, 1934. She enjoyed her early years with her brothers and sister on Chisholm Avenue in the East York area of Toronto.

In 1954, Doreen met Tom as they were neighbors on the same street in East york. Getting married in 1957, Doreen and Tom went on to start a family, having four children. Doreen spent her time raising her family and enjoying everything green. Loving nature, if not at the cottage or at home with all her indoor plants and outdoor gardens. Always spiritual, Doreen enjoyed fellowship with her local church group.

Doreen and Tom throughout their time together enjoyed traveling and camping throughout Canada with the kids and later in life, on their own. Always saying, the East Coast was her favorite. If she had her choice on a special occasion, it was a fancy Greek place or the go-to fish restaurant.

She is survived by her loving husband Thomas Timewell, her Children Susan Timewell-Jeffs (Clinton), David (Kelly), and their children, Connor (Jasmine), Meghan, and Liam. Brad (Debbie), and their children, Travis and Hayley. John Timewell and his children, Emma (Sam), Julia, and Jackson.

Doreen was predeceased by Douglas Bevan (brother) and Dennis Bevan (brother).

She is survived by her sister, Joan Trowell (Bob), and brother, Leonard Bevan (Margo).

Family and Friends are welcome to attend a Celebration of Life service which will be held at Jerrett Funeral Home on Thursday, February 23 at 11:00 am. Open gathering before service will be from 9:00 am til 11:00 am.
