We talked about Big Frank and shared memories at the owlguy chat this season. We all had such good memories and shared some of the pics that he had shared with us. It made it feel like he was still there with us !

Big Frank will be very missed. He shared so much love with our Owl community and just being a cool friend. I will miss his passion for Birds and his lovely photography. He did so many great things to protect the Raptors. I always admired that greatly. He will be greatly missed by many. Love to Franks family. With great sadness, Sarah Lehl

So sorry to hear of the loss of Big Frank. I always enjoyed chatting with him, he was the one who told me about the Rosetta site. He will be missed online as well as with his family and friends.

You pointed out a little Screech Owl, sitting in a tree. It was not that you simply pointed it out, you walked over to the tree, stood for awhile and explained the small bird's story. That owl changed me in ways that cannot be described here. Your love of birds at Rosetta McClain Park was infectious. I brought student teachers to listen to you because you embodied the essence of teaching and learning-in a simple, pure and passionate way. You leave behind a legacy and a community that I hope will go on and on and on. I will remember you standing at the fence at Rosetta, joking about building a proper watchtower there.
I hope that you can now attend to the creatures you so loved, in comfort, and with great ease.
Thank-you for being you and for caring for the birds.
