My heart is filled with profound and great sadness that I discovered the Chris had passed away a number of years ago.

He and i worked together on a number of cases many years ago.
I will always remember his kind, gentle and incisive mind and heart, a rare combination. Unassuming, highly intelligent with the bright eyes sparkling with life and love of life. During a crisis in life that one of my staff told him about he reached out a number of times to help, not pressing, not business, but from the kindness of a caring friend.

Good bye until we meet again, the world dimmed with your passing.

My excitement of receiving an answer when I called Chris's phone today soon turned to sadness upon receiving the news of his passing.  A professional, a friend and teacher, Chris and I worked on several projects in the 90's. After retiring 13 years ago, Chris and I still kept in touch just to say hello.  Fond memories remain of those working years so much so that the skills I learned from him have served me in good stead even to this day.  My condolence to Chris's family.  A great person;  he may be gone but not forgotten

As the poem so eloquently states Frank (Butch) made his time " between the DASH" count his years from 1944-2014 counted for his efforts and contributions towards human rights, equality,  family and friends. I am sure he has been welcomed with open arms by those that went before him. Our loss is their gain. May he rest in peace in Gods Loving Arms.

I had the opportunity to work with Brother Chris at CUPE conference in the Maritimes in the early 90's and what an enlightening experience it was - He was a scholar and a Gentleman full of passion, excellence and commitment. Chris you will be remembered always.

Chris has been a Brother, Comrade, Friend and advisor to me. Ever since I had the opportunity to befriend a Human Being like Chris, he has been a part of me and the Family. 
I met him in the early 90s and we had connected and worked on Human Rights,Equity Training and evaluations. He had done an excellent job of assessing and training The UFCW family, my Union, in Canada.  Our friendship had grown ever since. 
We had gelled together as bosom buddies. My children and Leela, my wife, also got accustomed to Chris and his Mom. We shared our thoughts and ideas on different Human Rights and other day to day issues regularly. His positive outlook and analytic analyses of life had helped me tremendously and when I heard of his ailment, I was really saddened that I may lose him and his honest friendship some day.

We kept very close contact and shared as much time together going out for coffee and lunches and our telephone conversations were lengthy ones. He was also very lonely after he lost his Mom. With that loss and the onset of his ailment, Chris had gone through a tremendous amount of distress. But he never gave up hope and always kept his confidence that he will be cured.

I guess we have to accept his passing with humility because the Almighty found it necessary to take him away from us and to leave us with all the good things we shared with him while he was amongst us. 
He will be occupying a special place in my family as a Brother and Amigo, as always.
We will be praying that his soul rests in peace and I am sure he is lying in his Mom's lap at the moment.

Chris was a wonderful human being and so connected to his work and to connecting with other human beings.  He often had to help us address the most complex human being problems and he brought a perspective that many could not.  He taught me that we carry our personal life with us to work and can sometimes lose our objectivity as a result.  I learned so much from him and I carry those lessons with me every day. Rest in peace Chris.  We worked together for over 8 years and became very good friends.  We kept each positive through the bad and shared in the good.  I will miss you and our calls every other day to just keep in touch and see how each other is doing.  My condolences to Chris' family .... Chris was a wonderful man and always there to listen.
