George passed in his 92nd year. Independent to the end. George was a Veteran of World War II who proudly served in the Royal Canadian Navy. A longtime resident of Toronto's east end, George could often be found feeding his squirrels either at the Beach or in Dentonia Park. George will be sadly missed by his remaining family and friends. Reunited with his dearly beloved Lillian at last. "Everywhere is walking distance if you have the time." Anchors aweigh. Visitation will take place at the Giffen-Mack DANFORTH Funeral Home, 2570 Danforth Avenue, 416-698-3121, on Sunday, March 12, 2017 from 3:00-7:00 p.m. A Funeral service wll take place on Monday, March 13, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at the Giffen-Mack DANFORTH chapel. Burial to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Michael Garron Hospital or the charity of your choice.
