It is interesting that recently I have been thinking about Joe Migliaccio. During his time at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School, Brampton  Joe always provided a moment of laughter and a realization not to take life so seriously. His visits to the Business Studies Department were opportunities to raid our candy jar and to share positive insights about our students. He was truly a person who cared and saw the other side of our students. May he rests in the eternal peace of the Lord for his good works of service. Thinking of Sherri and the boys.

Joe and I worked together at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School. Joe was a big joker and always fun to be around. He was popular with the students, especially those who had special needs. Joe's contributions to these students at very critical moments in their lives made a big difference to where those kids are today. Like Joe, I grew up as an immigrant in Downsview and I especially enjoyed sharing reminesences of the 'hood with Joe. Tiamo, my friend!

Joe was an amazing human being. His big smile and infectious laughter could never be ignored. He loved life and lived it well.  He touched so many hearts and will be deeply missed by so many.  Sincere condolences, Sherry, Benny, Angelo and families.  

I had the privilege of knowing both Joe and Sherry as colleagues at the DPCDSB.  Joe was a dedicated CYW who always had a smile and a joke.  His affinity for helping children was very evident and part of his legacy will be the thousands of lives he impacted with his guidance and levity.  Rest easy Joe. So sorry to hear about Joe’s passing. I had the pleasure of working  with him many years ago at Notre Dame Secondary School. He was dedicated to and very supportive of the students under his care. He always had a welcomed sense of humour and brought much levity to our staff meetings and socials. Eternal rest grant unto him and may perpetual light shine upon him. Mr. Migliaccio was an amazing man, a great cyw who cared for his students.  I got to know Mr.  Migliaccio when he helped my son  at xiavier.  He always checked in with us to make sure my son was doing well and stayed on track.  He will be greatly missed. rest peacefully sweet man.

To Sherry and Family.  I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Joe. I met Joe when we both worked at the Hospital for Sick Children back in the late 1980's.  After work, a bunch of us would bowl weekly and a few years later, I would join Joe on the HSC baseball team.  I remember Joe as a lovely, funny and caring person who was fun to be around.  I found out about his passing through a mutual friend, a colleague of his that worked at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School. I worked with "Gentleman Joe" for a couple years at the beginning of my career. He had a genuine love for helping all students and including as many as possible. I will always remember trips to the Blue Jays games with him, as well as his love for the Toronto Maple Leafs! He was everything you could want in a friend, a good laugh, a listening ear and someone to keep you grounded. 

Joe Migliaccio was truly a positive and hopeful “light” for our students and teachers. He expressed always his concern, his care, his kindness and his humor to everyone in our schools, from the Principal to our parents. He was truly like a lamp shining on a lampstand that we read about in the Gospel. I had the honor and privilege to work beside Joe at Notre Dame Catholic Secondary School, Brampton in the 1990’s and early 2000’s. He had a remarkable sense of humor and he gave us insights about the positive aspects of our lives.  My deepest sympathy and prayers are with Sherri and his children as you mourn.   Hopefully he is playing his Pro Line game in heaven! Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord+ Thank you, Joe for making us laugh.

Joe was an excellent CYW and colleague. Students and staff respected his care, diligence and empathy.
He had a humorous personality and loved to share food  and recipes he had created.

I will always remember Joe's sense of humour and his love and compassion for the students at St. Francis Xavier C.S.S. in Mississauga where I worked with him in the Guidance office. 

I know he has suffered a long time with many health concerns. He is at peace now. That is what we have to think about now. We will cherish our memories of him.

 My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. May God encircle you with his love, strength and support during this very difficult time.
