Passed away surrounded by his loving family at St. Joseph's Health Centre, Toronto on Monday, February 24, 2025, at the age of 84. Beloved husband of Filomena Catricala for 61 years. Loving father to Vincenza Catricala, Giuseppe Catricala (wife Cheryl Catricala). Proud Nonno of Catherine Mae Catricala. Dear brother of Antonio Catricala (Nicolina), late Geraldo Nicola Catricala (Maria Clasedonte), Maria Catricala (late Bruno Donato), Antonietta Papasodaro (Nicola Papasodaro).
Giovanni was a loving family man who was so passionate for gardening and enjoyed walking on St. Clair where he would meet up with his many friends where they would share memorable stories.
Giovanni will be fondly missed and remembered by his loving nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A visitation for Giovanni will be held Sunday, March 2, 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM, 1141 St Clair Ave West, Toronto, ON M6E1B1. Mass will be held on Monday, March 3, 2025 at 10:00 AM at St. Nicholas of Bari Catholic Church, 1277 St Clair Ave W, Toronto. Entombment to follow at Westminster Cemetery, Mausoleum & Cremation Centre, 5830 Bathurst St, Toronto, ON M2R 1Y6.
