Giovanni has been rejoined in eternal life with his Beloved Son, Jesse. He is survived by his children, Carm (Johnny), Tony, and Lisa (Gino). Becoming a Nonno was the joy of his life. He adored his grandchildren, Lori (Pedram), Josie, Nadia and Luca. He loved his British Shorthair Cat Sage, and barely tolerated the family Cockapoo’s Willow and Maple. From Bartlett to Bluestone he will be fondly remembered by his neighbours and friends.
Giovanni was a proud member of Local 793, he had a fulfilling career as a Heavy Equipment Operator, where he was well respected and which he loved. In his early years his summers were spent camping in his Winnebago with his family and neighbours. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his two sons. During retirement he spent his days lapping Vaughan Mills with his daughters and looking for the best deals on Colavita olive oil and Pasta De Cecco. He also became the family uber driver.
One thing about him, no matter what vehicle, make or model, GD knew the price. He loved his VW TDI. "Don't buy other people's problems" and "Never back down on a deal"
He was the happiest when the family was together, whether it was for a birthday, or Sopressata Sunday. We were never spared a Labour Day Weekend without making sugo.
We invite family and friends to join us in honoring the life of Giovanni, Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 23rd, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Home 1141 St. Clair Ave W.
