Passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on February 15th, 2018 in Toronto at the age of 78 years. Predeceased by her beloved husband Nicola. Loving mother of Valentina (Frank Zarrello) and Claudia Ambrogi. Cherished Nonna of Christina, Liana (Roger), Jennifer (Joshua), Elijiah (Cynthia), Alexis, Letiza, Nathan, Kristen, Nevaeh, Breanna and Talia. Maria will be loved and remembered by all of her family and friends. Visitation will be held at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St Clair Avenue West, Toronto (one block east of Dufferin St.) on Monday, February 19 from 4-8 pm. A Funeral Mass will be held St. Nicholas of Bari Catholic Church on Tuesday, February 20 at 10:00am. An entombment will follow at Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Maria may be made to the Heart and Stroke foundation.
