Lovingly remembered and forever cherished, the family takes solace in knowing that she will be reunited with her late husband Antonio who passed away 36 years ago. She also joins her heavenly family, including her late parents, Maria and Alfonso, and her sisters Antonietta and Giovanna.
Giuseppina Iacobucci was born on March 20, 1941 in Guardiaregia, Campobasso (Molise, Italy) and passed away on July 25, 2022 in Toronto, Ontario (Canada) at the age of 81 years.
She was the loving mother of Maria Laura, Gina, Anna and Marisa, and cherished mother-in-law to Corrado, Domenic, Eugenio (Jim) and Simon. She was also a proud nonna to Josianne, Domenico, Salvatore, Marisa, Melissa, Amanda, Anthony, Tokyo and Zen. In August, Giuseppina would have also been a great-grandmother.
Giuseppina will be deeply missed by her loving brother Giovanni and sister-in-law Nunzia Albanese. She will also be missed by her sister-in-law Vittoria Iacobucci, nephews, nieces and other members of her devoted family.
For over fifty years, Giuseppina lived in the Corso Italia community. She will be fondly remembered by her best friends and neighbours Santina Tantalo and Maria Botticella, as well as her other loving neighbours and friends in the community.
Family and friends may pay their final respects to Giuseppina at Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Friday, July 29, 2022 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 9 PM.
PLEASE NOTE: Masks are no longer required to attend indoor funeral services. For those who feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please feel free to do so.
The Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 30, 2022 at St. Clare’s Church at 10:00AM. On the morning of the service, a final visitation will be held at the funeral home. For those not attending the final visitation, please make your way directly to the church.
Entombment to follow at Prospect Cemetery, 1450 St. Clair Ave. W.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Giuseppina Iacobucci may be made to Wallace McCain Centre for Pancreatic Cancer, Temmy Latner Centre for Palliative Care or Canadian Cancer Society.
