Heather grew up in the east end of Toronto, where she formed many lifelong friendships and cherished memories. After school, she worked for five years at Simpsons, then began what would become a long and dedicated career of more than 30 years with the Toronto Board of Education as an Office Administrator. Heather was known as a dependable, caring, and steady presence—someone staff, parents, and students alike could always rely on.
Heather was predeceased by her loving parents, Doug and Daisy, and her brother Terry. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by her devoted husband Chris; her children Jeff and Nicole (Jordan); her sister Donna (Gerry); her sister-in-law Blanche; and her niece Sarah.
Heather loved to travel, whether it be a road trip or flying somewhere with a warm beach; she was always up for the adventure & creating new memories.
She also found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. She treasured time spent with family, friends and her dog Jack. She loved hosting family dinners, baking for people she loved, treating herself to regular mani/pedis, reading, and watching cooking shows (likely getting ideas for new recipes to try).
As an avid sports fan, Heather loved watching games in the comfort of home with Chris or at the neighbourhood bar with friends.
Heather’s beautiful & uniquely recognizable laugh, warmth, kindness, and unwavering love for those around her will be remembered by her many friends and family members.
