Mrs. Irene Robert Smeaton

July 14, 1937 – January 13, 2016

Beloved wife of the late J. Gordon Smeaton. Daughter of the late Paul and Aileen Robert (nee McLaughlin). Proud mother and mother-in-law of Gordon and Martha Smeaton, Susan and Paul Lemmon, Lizbeth and Richard Monette, Paul and Mary Smeaton, Craig and Sara Smeaton. Loving grandmother of Quinn and Matthew Smeaton, Craig and Geoffrey Lemmon, Zoé and Max Monette, Jack, Mark (deceased) and Kate Smeaton, Julia and Saul Smeaton.

Sister and sister-in-law of Ruth and the late Joseph Robert, Martha and the late Hagood Hardy, Paul Robert and Sally Spofforth, Michelle Robert, D’Arcy Robert and Richard Sniderman, Barbara and Bernard Kelly and the late Sandy and Bob Noonan.

The family would like to thank the staff of Wellesley Central Place for Irene's care.

Friends may visit from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Sunday, January 17, 2016, at the Rosar-Morrison Funeral Home & Chapel, 467 Sherbourne St. Toronto (South of Wellesley St.) The Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday, January 18, 2016 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, 78 Clifton Rd. Toronto (St. Clair and Mt. Pleasant). Interment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 305 Erskine Avenue.
