Jack enlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy on July 11, 1944 and remained to the end of the war. After his discharge he returned to working at Imperial Oil and advanced to become a Systems Analyst until his retirement.
Jack enjoyed traveling and exploring many treasures with family and friends. His fabulous swing on the golf course extended to the dance floor. One of his favourite pastimes was a round of golf or a visit to the pool hall with his brothers in earlier times. Visiting the casino brought huge smiles and a sore arm. While playing cards, the card shark emerged. He loved cheering on his Toronto sport teams with a bowl of nibbles. The best memory was seeing the twinkle in his eyes, while hanging out with his family.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held on January 22, 2022 at 1:45pm. The service will be livestreamed on Jerrett Funeral Homes at this link https://funeraweb.tv/diffusions/44741
Come share your best stories of Jack at his Celebration of Life this summer. Any donations in Jack’s honor may be made to the charity of your choice. Everyone who remembers Jack is asked to celebrate his life in their own way. Raising a glass of their favorite drink in his memory, at happy hour, would be quite appropriate.
We hold you close within our hearts. Rest in peace.
