Suddenly, on Saturday, January 3, 2009 at Scarborough General Hospital, ''Jimmy'' McLean passed away peacefully with his wife Doris at his side. Jimmy was born in Scotland and immigrated to Canada in 1948. He secured employment with Canada Post, and for 28 years, he enjoyed his job, serving the Toronto community. Jimmy was a caring, giving and loving gentleman, dearly loved by his wife Doris and respected by all who knew him. He earned the name his wife endearingly called him - ''Sunny Jim''. Jimmy is survived by the love of his life, Doris, his sister-in-law Irene Bowie, his sister in Scotland, Margaret Bow and predeceased by his brother Len. He will be missed and remembered by his nieces, nephews and their children.
Friends will be received at Jerrett Funeral Home, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough (between Eglinton and St. Clair Aves. E.) on Wednesday, January 7th from 11 a.m.-1 p.m., followed by a funeral service in the chapel at 1 p.m. Jimmy's final resting place will be at Pine Hills Cemetery.
