

Jane Clulow (known by all who loved her as Betty and Grandma Betty by all her grandchildren and great grandchildren) was born on a sunny day on the 25th of June 1926. She was a vivacious child with a flair for the dramatic. Betty was the oldest of four children. She had a sister, Nancy, and two younger brothers John and Joe. Betty’s parents both passed away within a year of each other when she was a young pre teen. She and her sister and brothers were separated and Betty was then raised by friends of the family, the Baird family, who would become her extended family and with who she would remain in a close relationship for the remainder of her life. Betty managed to keep in close contact with her sister but would not see her brothers again for another eighteen years when her brother John managed to track her down. Betty met and married the love of her life Earl to whom she was married for almost 60 years until his passing in January 2011. Betty and Earl had three children,Mary, David and Nancy, seven grandchildren, John, Mike, Kevin, Ashley, Juliette, Veronica and Stephanie, thirteen great grandchildren: Tyler, Taylor, Derek, Jaxon, Alexa, Nathan, Austen, Brooklyne, Emmeline, Maverick, Wyatt, Scotty,Cameron and one great, great grandchild: Carter. Betty was about to become a great grandmother for the fourteenth time in May 2022. Betty worked for many years at T.A.S. (Telephone Answering Service) as a Telephone Operator, and then moved on to work at Liquiflame Oil for the remainder of her career. She retired at the early age of 50 so she could enjoy life and her family. Betty enjoyed life and her family. She loved to spend time at the cottage on Jack’s Lake where she and Earl spent most of their lives. Betty was a very kind and caring person. She spent 25 years volunteering her services to St. Hildas' Towers in Toronto after she retired from her job. She loved to travel and was fortunate enough to have visited many places in her life time. Betty loved spending time with her family. She especially enjoyed the little ones where she held a special place in her heart.

A visitation for Betty will be held Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Jerrett Funeral Homes, 660 Kennedy Road, Scarborough, ON, followed by a memorial service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
