Jerry Rewayi Ndemera

December 5, 1945 – June 9, 2025

It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Jerry Rewayi Ndemera, who departed this life in his sleep on June 9, 2025, at the age of 79.

Born on December 5, 1945, Jerry lived a life rooted in integrity, quiet strength, and unwavering devotion to his family. He was a beloved husband, a dedicated father, a cherished grandfather, and a pillar of wisdom and compassion to all who knew him.

Jerry was the third born in a family of nine children. He is survived by his sister Chipo and brother Israel, loving wife, Sally, with whom he shared a lifetime of partnership and unconditional love. He was the proud father of four children, Nyasha, Simba, Ruvimbo and Mutsa —one (Ruvimbo) of whom preceded him in death—and the joyful grandfather of six grandchildren, Bailey, Joshua, Jordan, Ruvimbo, Jude and Jade, who brought him endless pride and delight.

Jerry's legacy is one of humility, kindness, and quiet resilience. His presence filled rooms with calm, and his life enriched the hearts of all who walked alongside him. Though he is no longer with us in body, his spirit and love will live on in the lives he touched.

He will be laid to rest in Harare, Zimbabwe. A family service will be held to honor his life and memory, in Toronto, Canada.

May he rest in eternal peace.
