Jim was one of our students in the University where I used to teach back home in the  Philippines. Not known to many, Jim was a very smart student despite being quiet and reserved. I had not seen him since his graduation from Nursing School not until I visited Canada in the summer of 2018. I stayed in their house for more than a week and I got to know Jim more as a friend. He was such a wonderful person! Very humble, kind and a loving friend.  Rest well in the arms of God my dearest Jim! You will surely be missed! I pray to God that He will send His Holy Spirit to comfort your family especially to your loving wife Gladys at this time of grief and sorrow❤️

I have had the pleasure of working with Jim since I started CAMH. He had a young soul, dressed in current sportswear and wearing his hat. I have always admired Jim for how positive and easy going he was and very compromising to make sure his team is happy. The above photo I took of him I think perfectly depicts the Jim we all remember. Positive, smiling, dressed well and is always ready to take on whatever challenge there was. In our hearts Jim will always be remembered and may his soul rest in everlasting peace 🕊️. I pray that the Lord give strength to his family throughout this time and the ability smile in remembrance of him.  

Social Work Colleague
I had the pleasure to work with Jim for many years.  He worked nights and I work days and I was always pleased to see him in person when I would be leaving work late and he would be in to start early! He always had our communication board organized when it was still done by hand prior to the current computerized one, and  his cursive script was distinctive and so neat, I always knew when he had cleared everything up and it made such a difference!  His patient notes always  concise and informative.  I have missed him while he has been off work and we have lost an irreplaceable colleague and nurse and gentleman.  Always he had a cheerful hello and kind word.  My sincere condolences to Jim's family .  ~ Eternal rest grant unto him O Lord and let perpetual light shine upon him. + May the soul of the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Jim was such a wonderful care person. I had the pleasure of working with him for many years. I was proud to call him my friend and I have so many wonderful memories of Jim that I will cherish them forever. Rest In Peace my friend!

I used to be the Recreation Therapist on Unit 2-4/PRT 7, and I never worked nights ever or evening shifts. Despite never working with Jim, he had made an impression on how I engage with patients. With calm, collected and caring approach. I echo my colleague/friend Nira who described him as always "Smiling, happy and easy going at work." I also remember his beautiful, neat writing -- before we had electronic white board's -- Jim was in charge of our census board. You could tell if someone messed around with it. 

I always appreciated Jim for participating in my Nursing Week activities - he was often one of the first to submit his entry. I am attaching this photo he shared for the "Year of the Baby Photo" and "The Year of Two Truths & a Lie." The attached photo is of Jim when he was in Nursing School in the Philippines and below was his submission for "Two Truths & a  Lie." 

Which is Jim’s lie?
a.	I used to be a child actor in the Philippines (lie)
b.	I own 10 acres of land
c.	I have been working at CAMH for more than 10 years

You will be missed, I will watch a Raptors game start to finish in your honour.  My deepest condolences to his wife, children, family, friends and all those he has touched.


I have worked with Jim since 2016 and I have never seen him in any other way but smiling, happy, and easy going at work.
He was a great colleague and teacher, and I had peace of mind when I worked  evening and night shifts with him.
He has gone too soon and his family at Camh will miss him greatly. 
May he rest in peace and my thoughts are with his family.
