My memories of Uncle John are of a gentle and kind soul who had quick smile. Family was his most important value and I pray that this is a source of comfort to his wife Gerri and daughter Laura. I know that when he left this world he would have been greeted by his beloved parents, Irene and Harold and his big sister and brother Joan and Bobby. I am truly sorry for your loss, you remain in my prayers and my thoughts>

I remember John as one of the Curzon St boys, .......his smile and laughter was always infectious although underneath the bravado there lingered a serious and sensitive soul. I was somewhat younger, in those days so I would look up to John.

Later, we met again when both of us worked at the Toronto City Hall. Just about everyday we passed each other for a few years until I left my job. During that time, John always was so gracious and so caring in the most simple of circumstances.....like saying "good morning and how are you?"
John was a gentle man and I feel so blessed hat we crossed paths,
