John was predeceased by his father Walter Daniels; and mother Elsie (Jackson) sister Janet Kerr. He will be remembered by his nephew Michael Kerr, niece Sandra Kerr and brother-in-law Gary Blair.
John was born and raised in Toronto - proud to call Toronto home. He was very happy to be a long term resident of the North Riverdale community. John graduated from the Ontario College of Art and had a very rewarding career in graphic design. He subsequently pursued his interest in textile design and became a very skilled weaver. John was a very gifted and creative person, very content with his own company. He loved experimenting with colours and patterns while working on tapestries, rugs and runners. More recently he had great pleasure doing complicated cross stitch needle work focusing on colour combinations. He travelled extensively and spent many happy winter months in Mexico.
His two year health journey was gruelling, but he persevered. All the while he was mentally strong, never complaining. The physical toll was significant. John received excellent care and support at the Princess Margaret Hospital, Sunnybrook Hospital Odette Cancer Centre, Michael Garron Hospital Oncology Unit, and most recently at the Hennick Bridgepoint Hospital, Palliative Care Unit.
Cremation has taken place and there will be a private interment at the Necropolis Cemetery, Toronto.
John said, “he had a very good life, with some ups and downs”…..
