I'll never forget the excitement that I feel whenever I learn that Daddy Nono comes home from Canada. As a grandfather, he always showers us (my sisters & cousins) with gifts and chocolates upon arriving. He also takes us to places where we can bond together because me and my cousins live far away from each other. I think maybe he is the reason why we are close and we still keep in touch with each other even if we have our own families now. He was a very jolly lolo and a cool one too! He plays card with us and teaches us how to cheat from each other then laugh at us just for his fun. What I'll also miss from him is how very "matakaw" he is when he eats his favorite filipino dishes when he arrives fron Canada.
He is also very charming too, of course even if with his age you can see that he was a very handsome guy, and I'm forever thankful to become one of his Apo.

It didn't really sink in right away the moment I heard the news. After a few hours when I'm on my way to work, memories came rushing back everytime he comes home and treat us out, his Apos, wherever we request him to. That's when I know that it's really painful to lose him, I was crying unwillingly. He is my only living lolo and now he's gone. Attached with this message is a photo taken last 2016 of him and my daughter, his great granddaughter. Who new that this first photo will also be the last?

I know that he is now happy because he is now in a place where there is eternal happiness and no pain. I pray that he continue watching over us, his loved ones. He may not be here with us anymore but as long as we live, he is forever in our hearts. We love you daddy Nono!
