Joseph was predeceased by his beloved brother Salvador, sisters Gina and Rita and brother-in-law Angelo. Loving brother of Rosemarie Comella (Nee Grimaldi), brother-in-law of Millie Grimaldi, and Paul Dosage. Cherished uncle of James, Peter, Steaven (Nancy) and Anita (Gary). Joseph was a brilliant musician, educator, storyteller and a life-long learner. A dedicated teacher for over 25 years, he taught at Bloor Collegiate, St. Michael’s Choir School, and Dante Alighieri Academy. Joseph always had a place in his heart and in his home for those in need. He will be loved, deeply missed and forever remembered by all of his family and friends. Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Thursday, October 8, 2020 from 2pm-5pm. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, October 9, 2020 at 11am St. Clare’s Catholic Church, 1118 St. Clair Ave. W. Cremation to follow privately.

COVID-19 RESTRICTIONS
The Bereavement Authority of Ontario has mandated: • Permitted gathering sizes inside a building for funeral visitation and chapel services, will be up to 30% of the maximum room capacities (excluding funeral staff) while maintaining the six foot physical distancing rule. • To ensure safety and minimize potential spread of COVID-19, this Registrar’s Directive sets new restrictions for gatherings at cemeteries within those three public health unit boundaries, effective Monday, Sept. 21: Cemeteries within the boundaries of the Ottawa, Peel and Toronto public health units must limit attendance to a maximum of 25 people (not counting funeral staff) at all attendances, funerals, visitations, funeral receptions, and graveside services on cemetery property. • Further to the Registrar’s Guidance issued on June 15, 2020, wearing masks or face coverings is mandatory for all persons (funeral staff and attendees) inside all funeral establishments or any other indoor setting where a funeral or visitation is held
