Joseph Honvari

It is with heavy hearts we share that Joseph Honvari passed peacefully and surrounded by family on May 5, 2022. Loving Father of Christina (Mishi), beloved Brother of Eva, caring Uncle to George and cherished Grandfather of Ivy. After surviving pancreatic cancer 12 years ago, Joseph received a second chance at life and was able to witness the marriage of his daughter, reunite with family and childhood friends in Budapest, enjoy sunny vacations, and meet and spend time with his granddaughter who lit up his world. His generosity, kind and caring heart was felt by all those around him. He and his daughter shared an inspirational and one of a kind bond that will endure. He will be forever remembered, loved and deeply missed. A private ceremony will be held and he will rest at Prospect Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Pancreatic Cancer Canada, CNIB or Sunnybrook Hospital.
