

Ms. Laura Ann Wade was known as many things to many people. She was a loved one, a friend, and someone special. To family and friends who knew her best, Laura will be remembered as a very exceptional person.
Laura was born on January 24, 1966 at St Michaels Hospital Toronto in Toronto,Ontario Canada. She was the daughter of Helen McLeod and Roger Cross. Laura grew up in Mississauga,Toronto Ontario,Canada.
Laura was raised with One sister. She had one sister Sheley Dawn Cross Harshaw. Laura was usually involved in all sorts of activities with her siblings. She and her siblings experienced rivalries typical of a growing family, but they shared many life experiences over the years.
As a young girl, Laura had a number of interests. Like most children, she enjoyed playing and making up games. She was curious about the world around her and was often eager to explore it. Brownies. However, to Laura, the most fun to be had was simply playing and spending time with her friends.
A typical teenager, Laura had a fairly happy high school experience, making that critical transition from adolescence to adulthood. She enjoyed some classes more than others, having favorite subjects and teachers.
Always considered a “good” friend to those she knew, Laura enjoyed a broad group of acquaintances and several very close friends during her lifetime. Later in life, she became friends with Helene,Holly,Laurie,Jamie,.
Laura worked hard to be a good mother to her children and she did her best to fulfill their needs. Laura was blessed with Two, Nicole Dawn Wade Taylor Lyn Gale Stepmother to Megan Wade Jamie Wade. Another blessing for Laura was the gift of Two, Wilson and Levon.
Laura was a woman who took pride in upholding her beliefs. So it is little wonder that she took an active role in her community, serving on committees for the Girl Guided of Canada Guide Leader.
Laura enjoyed traveling and time away on vacations. It was a chance for her to renew and relax, to visit new places and experience new things. Favorite vacations included Dominican Republic 3 times.
Laura was a lover of animals and cherished her pets. One of her favorites was Cats Tiger and Thumper. They were best friends for many years. Her family was rounded out by her Jazz a Germen Sheppard Puppy Brownie as a child.
Laura passed away on July 11, 2009 at Princess Margaret Hospital. Laura fought till her last breath to fight to live, she had Lung Cancer that spread to her Bones. She is survived by Her Mom Helen, Dad Roger, Sister Sheley, Derrick,Daughters Nicole,Taylor Stepdaughter Megan Stepson Jamie Grandsons Wilson,Levon Brotherinlaw Kevin,nephew Alex, Cousin James and Christine,Uncle Norm Aunt Diane. Services were held at Griffin Mack Main St Chapel Toronto. Laura was laid to rest in Rest Haven cemetery on Kingston Rd,Toronto.
Simply stated, Laura was a good and kind person, an individual who will for all time be remembered by her family and friends as being a caring and giving person, someone who was a vital part of their lives. Laura leaves behind her a legacy of life-long friendships and many cherished memories. Everyone whose life she touched will always remember Ms. Laura Ann Wade.
