Lorne was predeceased by his parents Rose and Frank, and younger brother Gerry.
Born on March 8, 1943 in Teulon, Manitoba, Lorne was a lifelong car enthusiast who loved music, photography, reading and travel. He was known for his sense of humour, playful spirit and love of family.
He was the loving father of Michelle Barchuk, and stepfather to Allison Della Rossa (Angelo). He will be fondly remembered by Birgit & Walter Dressler, Judi Holland, Olga Barchuk & family, and his dearest childhood friend, Vick Barylak. He will be forever loved and deeply missed by his family and friends.
Family and friends may visit at the Jerrett Funeral Home, 1141 St. Clair Ave. W. (1 block east of Dufferin) on Sunday, July 10, 2022 from 2:00-4:00 pm & 6:00-8:00 pm. PLEASE NOTE: Masks are no longer required to attend the visitation or the funeral service; however, if you feel more comfortable wearing a mask, please do so.
The Funeral Service will be on Monday, July 11, 2022 at 12:00 pm at Jerrett Funeral Home. Interment to follow at York Cemetery, 160 Beecroft Road.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Lorne Barchuk may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society and the Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB).
