We just found out about Mimi's death. It's very hard to believe; the last times we saw and talked to her – usually when she was walking the dog up Duggan – life seemed to be very much of a happening for her (as always: that was Mimi). We're thinking of you now, and of Mimi too, and of times past. 

Good people are supposed to live long and leave easy: that's the deal we all thought we signed up for when we joined this circus.  Mimi, and you, deserved better from Head Office than her premature and distressing end. We hope that, in recompense, all your days hereafter will be very pleasant.

Gail and I were saddened to hear of Mimi's passing. We have wonderful memories that range from time spent in the Laurentians, Montreal, Toronto, Big Sur and Maine. The trip that you and I took to Europe in 1963 still stands out in my mind.
I am sorry that we are so far apart from a geographic standpoint but we will always be close in friendship.

I was very sad to come upon news of Louise in the newspaper on Friday.  I wish I could be in Toronto today to speak to you all personally of how fond I am of Mimi.  She was good enough to give me a job in her gallery when I had just moved to Toronto in 1998 and was trying to establish a career in the arts.  Not only was she a great employer, but later a business colleague, confidant and friend.
I will miss her very much, her always bubbly spirit and positive attitude toward life even in the face of challenges.  She was a great woman and I think of her frequently and fondly.
I wish you all strength in her passing.

Dear Hamish, Eloise and I were saddened to hear of Mimi's passing. We have wonderful memories of our cycling trips in France in the 80's and Mimi is very much part of those memories. It is hard to believe that three of the participants , Rick, Shep and Mimi are no longer with us. 
We have lived at our home in Windermere BC  for 14 years and occasionally buy the Globe and Mail and that is how we learned of her passing. I am in Toronto 3-4 times per year and would enjoy getting together with you to share memories. Please send me your Email when you have a chance.

I first met Mimi almost 50 years ago when we were young and worked together in Montreal.  She was pretty as a picture, talented and fun to be with.  She fell in love, married Hamish and thus we parted ways.  Unfortunately I never met her boys, Geordie and Sean, but we kept in touch right up to the end.  It is with a very heavy heart that my husband and I send our condolences to Hamish, Geordie, Sean, Mimi's mother Andree and siblings, Nancy, Peter, Andrew and Douglas.  May she rest in peace.
