Margaret Pat Patricia Murphy Brady

July 5, 1918 – October 2, 2013

In her 96th year, at home with her family. Predeceased by her loving husband Charles Brady, cherished son Christopher, and brother Sinon Murphy. She is survived by her devoted children Conor and John, doting grandchildren Michael and Anthony, and loving daughter-in-law Vicky Esposito.

Patricia worked at Canada Customs in Ottawa and Toronto in the 1940s before marriage in 1948. She had a wonderful curiosity about the world, and sought refuge in books, radio programs, and magazines. Later in life she finally had the opportunity to travel to Ireland to meet her cousins – her lifelong dream

While a housewife, Pat earned her BA in 1972, the first person on either side of the family to hold a University Degree.

The family would like to thank Ms. Anna Racaza, our mother’s wonderful caregiver; Sr. Gwen and Sr. Mary, whose visits and prayers brightened Pat’s last few years; and to Andrea, of Halton CCO, for her wonderful care.

Friends may visit at the TRULL “NORTH TORONTO” FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE (2704 Yonge St, 5 blocks south of Lawrence) on Monday October 7, 2013 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm and 6:00pm until 8:00pm. A Funeral Mass will be held at BLESSED SACRAMENT CATHOLIC CHURCH (24 Cheritan Ave., 1 block south of Lawrence off Yonge St.) on Tuesday October 8, 2013 at 11:00am. Burial at Mount Hope Catholic Cemetery to follow.
