Margaret Mary Inglis

June 8, 1924-August 18, 2015

Margaret was born June 8, 1924 to Mary and Andrew Connor, in

Coolook, District of Dublin, Ireland. In the early 1950's Margaret

immigrated to Canada, and called Toronto home. Margaret took

work at Simpsons in 1953 where she worked to retirement June, 1984

Margaret became a Canadian Citizen January 13, 1958. Margaret

married and became beloved wife of William Young Inglis

(December 13, 1924-November 15, 1989) to whom she remained

faithful.til her dying breath. Left to mourn is her brother-in-law

Thomas McIlkenny, many nieces, grand nieces, nephews and

grand nephews. Viewing will take place at GIFFEN-MACK FUNERAL HOME,

2570 Danforth Ave.(at Main St. subway Stn) 416-698-3121 on

Sunday, August 23, 2015 from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. Funeral Service

on Monday, August 24, 2015 at Hope United Church, 2550 Danforth Ave.

Toronto, ON at 11:00 a.m. Inurnment to follow at Pine Hills Cemetery at a later date.

FOOTPRINTS

One night a man had a dream. In it he was

walking along a beach with the Lord. Across the sky flashed scenes from his life. For each scene he noticed two sets of footprints in the sand, one

belonging to him, and the other to the Lord.

When the final scene of his life flashed before him, he looked back at the footprints in the sand. He

noticed many times along the path of his life there was only one set of footprints, and realized that they came at the hardest and saddest times of his life.

Bothered about this, he questioned the Lord,

saying, "Lord, you said that once I decided to follow you, you'd walk with me all the way. But I have noticed that during the most burdensome times in my life, there is only one set of footprints.

I don't understand why ,when I needed you the most you would leave me."

The Lord replied, "My dear child, I love you and I

would never leave you. During the times of trial and suffering, when you see only

one set of footprints,

it was then that I carried you."
