Today we are here, on Friday January 15, 2021, to honour and come together in the celebration of the life of Maria (Josephine) Maccarone.

Sadly, on Saturday January 9, 2021, Josephine passed away at her home with her son and grandson by her side.

She was a loving mother to her daughter Melissa Martin, and son Leonard Martin.

She was a dedicated and loving grandmother to her 4 grandchildren; Chayla, Sayvia, Vincenzo, and Angelo.

A sister to Tom and Mary Maccarone and an aunt to Cassandra and Dylan.

Josephine was a spark on the world that everyone will remember. Her feistiness,

love, dedication and passion will never be forgotten.

Joie’s love for writing, dogs, music and the ocean is how she will always be remembered.

Never forgotten and always loved!

Unfortunately, due to COVID-19, we cannot be together as we would like, so we invite you to join us online to celebrate and honour her life. Please click on the link below to join the service as it is live streamed on Friday, January 15, 2021 at 1:00pm.

My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Lenny and Melissa, and cousins Tom and Mary and all of Joey's grandchildren, nieces and nephews during this very difficult time.

I was so deeply "touched" by all your speeches, and the beautiful selection of music brought back many fond memories. I was a little girl and she was a teenager. I remember her infectious laugh and smile and genuine love and affection. Hanging out in the basement on Rolyat and listening to that same music while our parents hung out upstairs, and how she would hold my hand tightly as we crossed the street to the convenience store to buy me candy.

May all your memories bring you joy, peace and comfort and keep her close to your hearts.

RIP dear cousin.

Love, Josie Feliciani (nee Tommasone) and family.

Joie walked through life to the beat of her own drum! Not everyone else's ...

There is a lot to be admired in people who can do that.

I offer my deepest sympathy to her immediate family as well as to our extended family.

May she be at peace.

I have so many fond memories of Joie. Especially of when we were growing up. We literally lived around the corner from one another and spent time together daily. She was much more than one of my older cousins. She was like a big sister to me. Rest in peace, Joie!
